About Us

Kappa Sigma International Fraternity is among the oldest and largest collegiate fraternities in North America. We trace our historic and spiritual roots to Bologna, Italy in the 1400s and our American founding to 1869 at the University of Virginia. There are over 200,000 initiates living throughout the world.

The Chi Chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity was established at Purdue University in 1885 and has provided over 100 years of service to the community and the campus. We have over 1,200 alumni and around 100 undergraduates. We are considered one of the top fraternities at Purdue University.

Chi Chapter faithfully lives by Kappa Sigma’s motto: “Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service.”
