Join Kappa Sigma
Rush Head Information
Statement from Chi Chapter President, Mark Tardy
Purdue University boasts one of the largest, most established Greek systems in the nation, and the Chi Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity has made significant contributions to this campus's history. With over 135 years of rich tradition, Kappa Sigma at Purdue has developed future leaders every step of the way, including the current Senior VP of Administration at Purdue University, Michael Cline, and Interfraternity Council President Kevin Boes. From our founding in 1885 to now, Chi has represented Kappa Sigma as an elite Chapter through continuous improvement and a dedication to building better men.
The Chi Chapter continues to make advancements today. Perfectly equidistant from both Chauncey Village and the heart of Purdue’s campus, the Chapter house serves as a social and educational facility that brothers can call home. With a theatre room, a chef-serviced kitchen, two decks, and a well-equipped study room, 308 North Street gives its occupants a feeling of belonging and support on their journey to success. Speaking from experience, I have developed some of my best memories with my close friends in the exciting environment of the house.
Our brothers pursue greatness day after day. They balance their studies with campus involvement through intramural sports, ROTC, or various major-specific clubs. So why should you join Kappa Sigma at Purdue? Every time I step through the front door of the chapter house, I sense a world of possibilities for personal and collective growth, both as an individual and as a member of the Kappa Sigma Chapter. Through Kappa Sigma, I have made countless memories I will look back on for years to come. By containing a wealth of different personas and majors, Chi provides you with all the help and support you need to succeed at Purdue. The brotherhood of Chi Chapter is simply unmatched and is something I am extremely grateful to be a part of. Now it is your turn.
